Susan Griffiths began her career based on her resemblance to Marilyn Monroe, but because of the popularity and iconic stature of the blonde bombshell, she was cast in the hit Las Vegas show “Legends In Concert”. After honing her singing and stage performing skills during a 4 year run, Susan made a decision to turn her talent toward film acting.
So she left the lights of Las Vegas for the hills of Hollywood. With acting lessons and a good agent, Susan was cast within a year in the ABC Movie of the Week “Marilyn and Me”. More television roles followed, including “Quantum Leap”, “Growing Pains”, “Nip Tuck”, “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and Jim Belushi’s “The Defenders”.
Director Quentin Tarantino was looking to cast his “diner scene” in the wildly popular “Pulp Fiction” and again Susan landed the role of Marilyn, immortalizing her in a timeless Hollywood classic.
Photographs by David La Chapelle for a Jean Paul Gaultier ad in The New Yorker magazine led to an opportunity to star in a video used by Elton John in his long running “Red Piano Revue” at Caesar’s Palace. Susan was cast to recreate Monroe’s infamous “The Last Sitting”, which was projected on a 50 foot screen during Elton’s live performance of his homage to Norma Jean, “Candle In the Wind”.
As Marilyn, Susan has traveled the world making commercials and representing companies such as Chanel, Mercedes Benz, Accura and MacDonalds. Singing engagements have taken her to Berlin, Germany for a show titled “All That Swing”, along with corporate performances in Vienna, Sweden, Italy and Japan. Susan also performs in her own show, “Crooner & the Bombshell” a “Toast to Dean Martin and Marilyn Monroe”.
