The Hodads have been together since 1989. They have appeared with Kool & The Gang, The Beach Boys, The Smothers Brothers, Tony Danza, The Surfaris, Jim Belushi, Steve Vai, Steven Bishop, Bob Saget, Louie Anderson, Jerry Lewis, Casey Kasem, Vince Gill, Trisha Yearwood, Lily Tomlin, and played in the movie, “The Replacement.” The Hodads are multi-talented musicians who have worked with world famous entertainers and have over 100 years experience (collectively) at knowing how to read the crowd. The Hodads can bring extra excitement to your party with themes such as: California Beach Party, Blues Bros., Motown Revue, Disco 70’s, Margaritaville, 50’s Sock Hop, Psychedelic 60’s, Country & Western, Biker Theme, Yacht Club, Hollywood Theme, and Classic Rock Show, the Hodads blend their unique ability to interact with the audience.

TONY JONES (drums/vocals): Native Los Angeleno, Tony was raised in a musical family. His father (Rick) was a drummer/songwriter and his grandfather (Leon René’) was a prominent songwriter in Los Angeles. He penned such songs as: Rock-in’ Robin, When the Swallows Come Back to Capistrano and When It’s Sleepytime Down South. Tony has performed with Milton Berle, Fred Travelena, Danny Ganz, The Drifters, The Coasters, Billy Preston, Patty Andrews and others. He is well known for his vocal impersonations of Louis Armstrong, Elvis Presley, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra and Ray Charles. JIMMY STREET (sax/guitar/vocals): Jimmy Street was born in Norfolk, Virginia, but grew up in Oakland, California where he was influenced by the East Bay Soul sounds. Jimmy’s passion is playing the saxophone and singing. He has performed with Frank Sinatra, Jack Jones, The Drifters, The Coasters and Big Daddy. Jim appeared on The Regis Philban Show and other television variety shows internationally. JOHN HATTON (bass/violin/vocals): John was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He started playing violin at age six. He also played in the St. Louis Philharmonic in high school. He is the bassist on Angel of the Morning by Juice Newton and he has also played with Elvis, The Brian Setzer Orchestra, Dolly Parton, The Righteous Brothers, Jose Feliciano, Seals and Crofts, Fabian, The Rivingtons, Liza Minelli, John Davidson and Big Daddy. BOB SCHUSTER (guitar/vocals): Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Bob has been playing guitar and singing since he was 12. He studied at Berklee School of Music in Boston and Dick Grove’s School in Los Angeles and with many private teachers. Bob has performed with Bob Dylan, Steven Bishop, Gary Puckett, Trini Lopez, The Coasters, The Drifters, Danny Thomas and others. He probably even played for your wedding or bar mitzvah! STERLING SMITH (Keyboards, vocals): Sterling grew up in Columbus Ohio and majored in harpsichord at Ohio State University. He has recorded and toured with The Beach Boys, Randy Meisner, and Jan & Dean. He has recorded with Bob Dylan, Lisa Hartman, Barry Manilow, Terry Reid, and collaborated on an album with Arthur Brown. He was Musical Director and on-stage pianist on Twyla Tharp & Mikhail Baryshnikov’s 1992-93 “Cutting Up” dance tour. Two albums of original “progressive rock” music by Sterling’s Ohio band in the 70’s, “The Load” are currently out on Compact Disc.
