Q: Can Chain Reaction be hired with fewer performers?
A: Yes, although we prefer to perform with 5 or more live performers,
we can provide other options.
Q: Can you provide a Video of your featured band Chain Reaction?
A: Yes we have videos or Cds
Q: How can I be sure I will get quality entertainment for our event?
A: We only work with proven, respectful, performers and bands in the
area. With over 20 years experience in the southern California music
scene we have assembled a respected list of quality entertainers to
draw from. We realize that your satisfaction is essential to our success.
Q: What type of music do you specialize in?
A: Our featured band Chain Reaction covers a wide variety
of music including hits from the 50s through todays pop hits.
If you have a different request we will match the best musicians and
vocalists to fill that need. If we cant help you we will try to
put you in touch with someone that can.
Q: Is it possible to have a DJ and live entertainment in one package?
A: Yes, at Stage One Promotions we can provide a combination package
that includes live and recorded entertainment.
Q: Do you have other bands to offer besides Chain Reaction?
A: Yes, we work closely with several area bands and also have a number
of in house bands not pictured on this website. Our goal is to match
your event needs with the best entertainment at the desired price.
Q: Can you offer both Male and female vocalists for our event?
A: Yes We have a large family of musicians to draw from and work closely
with several great vocalists, both male and female.
Q: What are the charges for your services?
A: At Stage One Promotions, we provide a variety of packages to accommodate
a range of prices. Since every event is unique, your plans will be
treated with individual attention. We offer competitive prices while
offering, exceptional entertainment.
Q: Is it better to book a group from a video or audiotape, or to hear
them personally?
A: The best way to audition a group is to hear them live. If this isn't
possible, a videotape is second best and an audiotape last.
Q: Can you act as Master of Ceremonies?
A: Yes
Q: How soon should I book a group for my event?
A: It's best to book a few months in advance to ensure your group is
available, however we have numerous packages to offer.
Q: Can you play songs that are not on your songlist?
A: Yes, just give the band time to learn the song, usually a minimum
of one month.
Q: What type of dress do your groups wear?
A: The type of dress each group wears depends on the event and can be
discussed and spelled out in the group's contract.
Contracting the Band
Q: How do I book a group for my event?
A: Contact us by Phone or email. After the details of your event have
been determined, and a group has been selected, a contract containing
those details will be written and provided for you to examine and modify
if necessary.
Q: Do your groups require a deposit to hold our date?
A: Yes. Normally a 50% percent deposit is required to hold the available
date.
Q: When do your groups require full payments.
A: Generally, full payment is required after the performance. Special
arrangements may be made before the engagement to accept full payment
before the performance.
Q: What if my event lasts longer than the contract? May I schedule in
advance that possibility? How much will it cost?
A: Overtime booking is often possible in advance. The amount of time
and compensation for this possibility can be discussed and put in the
contract language.
Q: What type of payment does your groups accept?
A: Cash, personal, corporate, business, cashier checks or money orders
are acceptable forms of payments. We do not accept debit or credit
cards.
Event Preparations
Q: What information does the band need to manage the reception or party?
A: After contracts are signed, and before the reception, the group leader,
DJ or master of ceremonies will be given an itinerary of your event.
If the event is a wedding, a reception itinerary will include important
transitions, such as the introduction of the wedding party, the first
dance, the father/daughter, mother/son dance, the bouquet toss and
garter dance will be scheduled with specific times outlined.
Q: What arrangements need to be made for the group's setup?
A: Many factors figure into setup. Generally, it takes about 90 minutes
to set up a public address system. If lighting is needed, more time
might be needed. The name and number of the person in charge of the
event facilities is needed to coordinate setup times.
Q: How does a group select the songs?
A: Each group leader or DJ selects songs based on the audience. Demographics,
such as age and diversity factor in song selection. Priority is given
to the event planner and a songlist will be developed in advance to
accommodate guest preferences.
